Ribble Valley Club House
This picture comes from my mother's collection. The house shown is on Barker Brow, near Ribchester, and used to be the Clarion Cycling Club House. I believe that it was used by touring cyclists, particularly in the 1930's. It was a sort of hostel where the cyclists could rent rooms. In the 1970's it became a disco called The Lodestar. The Lodestar moved down the hill to the De Tabley Arms in the late 1980's and the Clarion was divided up into several apartments in the 1990's.
